Hotel Vara is a 3 star property certified by the Department of Tourism Council. The hotel is located right above the Punakha-Wangdue national highway making it an ideal stopover for tourists who are on a cross country trip in Bhutan. The elevated location of the property offers a spectacular view of traditional Bhutanese houses surrounded by expansive paddy field that adds tranquility and inspires our guests to embrace and appreciate the slow paced lifestyle of this mountain village.

Hotel Vara has 19 spacious guest rooms (18 Deluxe & 1 Vara Suite). The rooms offer a blend of traditional designs and modern amenities for guest comfort. All rooms are attached with guest bathroom equipped with shower, vanity counter and water closet. Rooms on the second floor have access to private balcony.
Restaurant & Bar
The spacious dining room has a wooden based interior complimented by floor to ceiling window that offers a stunning view of the valley below. The restaurant can accommodate up to 60 people. The restaurant also has an attached bar that serves a mix of local and imported drinks. The restaurant menu has options ranging from Indian, Chinese, Continental and Bhutanese cuisines.
We can also organize outdoor event with bon fire and open bar and barbeque at the front lawn.
