A lovely standalone home in the midst of fields and next to the banks of pho chhu. It can be reached only by a private suspension bridge or by following a footpath from Punakha Dzong. This place is wonderfully surrounded by fields and boasts of a huge garden with flowers. This place is for those who wish for a quiet refuge away from busy towns. The nangi aum, Aum Karma, has recently re-furbished the house and opened it up for guests.

Aum Karma has cows, hens, and vegetable fields. On demand a hot stone bath can be prepared. Aum Karma also offers bonfire facilities and camping for those who want it a bit more romantic.
THREAD DYEING: Karma is a very experienced weaver and designer for gho and kira patterns (she designed the 5th king’s coronation gho!). Hence she also offers dyeing workshops with natural dye for her guests against an extra fee. She boils the ingredients on open fire as is customary until they take the color intensity she is looking for.
