Gangtey Palace stand out commanding a panoramic view of almost the whole of Paro valley, one often loses a sense of time while being fascinated by the breathtaking view of the Paro valley beneath. It is 3 kms, roughly 2 miles, from the Paro International airport. Before entering the main castle, the garden offers a floral treat of a variety of plants, fruits and flowers. Outside the palace, on the right side of the lawn is a temple dedicated to Tsheringma, the Goddess of wealth.

Fresh water to the hotel is supplied from the nearby mountain spring that is said to be protected by a legendry deity who makes sure that the sanctity of water is well maintained and a natural flowing spring can be found inside the palace which has been maintained from years ago.

Rooms: 19 rooms most of which offer a panoramic view of the beautiful Paro valley. One can experience a feeling of Bhutanese nobility by lying in one of the palace rooms surrounded by beautiful wall paintings and a view from the window, which wanders off into a natural Disney land. Although the palace has today been transformed into a luxury hotel, it still retains most of its original features. The air inside the palace is silent, clean and respectful, as if inside a temple.
